In 2004, Crossborder was retained by UCSD Extension to provide research and strategic guidance for the Crossborder Innovation and Competitiveness Initiative -- with the goal of assessing possible crossborder synergies in high-tech sectors in the San Diego-Baja California region. Later, CBA's Director supported development of this study as its lead researcher and lead co-author (2006). |

Crossborder has been retained by a local Chamber of Commerce to developed a series of informational materials -- including handouts, briefing packets, and presentations -- about the Otay Mesa border community. These materials -- including this industrial lands briefing paper -- are part of a major public education campaign to assist with advocacy and planning for the community (2006-2007). |
